How to Find your Niche

Stop searching among others, for something that lies within you.

We all have our niche, it’s just a matter of finding it. For some, it may be easier to grasp than others. But if you haven’t found yours yet, keep digging.

Each of us have an important role to play in our environments–both as individuals and as species. While predators may lie on top of the food-chain, the animal kingdom as a whole is egalitarian; each animal is in the same situation and must find their way to cope with the dangers of the wild. Just as the python is equivalently successful as the panther in its own way, the same goes for you.

Every species has found their niche and stuck to it. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be here. So what’s yours?

The animal kingdom tells us many things, but above all, it tells us that if you step away from the crowd, you can evolve to become something great. So what makes you, you? What is your niche and how does it set you apart from others?

Look right in front of you. Think about what you love. Your passions, your joys, your aspirations. Now try to find the common purpose behind them.

You are here to make a difference in this world, but in order to do so, you need to let go. Let go of the opinions of others, let go of guilt that comes with taking time for you, and let go of any energy that is bringing you down. You can’t pour from an empty cup. In order to leave a lasting impact, you must first be selfish.

Except, don’t look at it as being selfish. Take it as an opportunity to better not only yourself, but also your surroundings. Because once you find your niche, it’s time to blossom.

Whether you’ve found your niche or you’re still searching, there is always room for improvement. You are constantly being presented with new opportunities that will be accompanied with new takeaways. As humans, we are meant to evolve. So if you’re outgrowing who you’ve been or you feel it’s time for a change, good. You’re on the right track.

Stay true to yourself and keep on growing. Your niche is within, and you will find it.
