If you’ve been following along with us for some time now, you know that we strive to be a source of positivity and motivation for this incredible community that has become family – our Balance Family.

Balance means taking care of your mind, body, and spirit while living life to the fullest. While balance may look different for everyone, it still stems from the same roots. Finding this balance isn’t always an easy flow - it takes motivation, it takes inspiration, and it takes mentality. Since we know this can be a lifelong process, we find it important that we do everything we can to be a source of motivation and inspiration for you.

This week, we decided to take our “why” a bit further and look to some of the people who inspire us most: our Leaders & Elite Leaders. In doing so, we found a common theme that inspired us…

It’s easy to get wrapped up in your own thoughts, to overthink, worry, and stress. But if you take a moment to really, truly think about each of the things that are overconsuming you, you will come to realize that a majority of it is out of your control. Although we’d like to be able to change an unfortunate situation, the truth is we’re only capable of changing our actions in response to a situation. If you find yourself in a constant swarm of emotions, all you need is a little change in perspective, and we’re here to walk you through how to do just that.

Make a list of everything you’re taking on–everything that’s consuming you. Now separate them into two groups: what is in your control vs. what is out of your control.

Recently, Balance Leader Holley shared something that stuck with us:

“If it’s out of your hands, it deserves freedom from your mind too.”

Chances are, a good chunk of what you focus your energy toward is out of your control, but your thoughts are not one of them. Free your mind from what’s out of reach and you’ll have that much more clarity of what’s in your hands.

We are constantly being presented with two choices: to evolve or repeat.

If you’re constantly pouring your energy into areas of life that you simply cannot control, you are not allowing yourself to evolve. Whether you realize it or not, everything happening to you is happening for you.
